Someone could download the movie, burn it to disc, and then donate it to a local library. Nothing magic about that. Unless personal generosity is magic.
I’m not going to give advice on how to pirate, but you should understand that physical media like DVDs and Bluray are just digital content burned into a physical disk.
So if you were to acquire a digital copy of something, and some physical media you could save it to, you would wind up with a physical copy of that thing.
Possible options:
- Rob hard drives from the editors which hopefully still have the whole movie on them
- Pirate it, then burn it to DVD (or just keep in digital format since that’s easier nowadays)

Physical copies are not being commercially distributed through official channels. Current official distribution seems only to be through streaming channels and limited theatrical release.
If you want a physical copy, piracy would appear to be your only current option.

Again, you can write the file to a dvd. Even if you don’t have a dvd burner, your local library probably has one or has computers with that capability
Well, you can always go the classic DVD-R route.
Even when i had a disc drive that could burn discs, it was only cdr.
They still make burners. They’re like $12.

Damn, that sucks. Between movies and my hacked PS2 and Wii, I probably burned a dvd per day on average in the late 2000’s.
Did that plenty with the ps1. Stopped playing console for a good decade. Didn’t get another console until the xbox one.
