I wonder what taking control means. It’s probably easy for them to damage the cables, but can they actually take permanent control over whether the cable is off or on?

Why would Iran still be talking about all of this nonsense if they actually had the capability of any of it?

To leverage their position without incurring more attacks?? Undersea cables aren’t magic. They won’t have any problem taking control of them.

Okay, and? Why talk about it? You think Iran isn’t desperate enough to do the things they claim they can do?

Because every statement they make about disrupting the fuel trade makes fuel prices rise even further, causing more worldwide dislike of Trump and the US.

Iran, despite being a heinous murderous theocracy, knows they have the upper hand in the propaganda warfare happening alongside actual warfare, because the war was completely unjustified and solely Trumps narcissistic pet project. Underlining how much of a massive fuckup Trump is, since he is making himself look worse than even the Iranian government.

You have an incredibly flowery view of Iran if you think them intentionally disrupting trade and communications worldwide makes them “look good”.

Would you rather have the entire world mad at the U.S.? Or would you rather have the entire world mad at you? Come on dude. Think about this.
