minus-squarewieson@feddit.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up4·4 hours agoI tried to look up if Rhein and Rhône are from the same root. It’s a theory but not proven. It’s from Proto-Germanic " erei" to flow. Mosel (Moselle) is just a diminutive of Maas (Meuse)
