I skipped like 90% of the dialog on my first play through. In retrospect that was kind of funny since I only had an inkling of what was going on story wise. I did end up playing the game like 4 times so I did read more of it later.
yeah it’s strange but that’s why I couldn’t get into it. I love reading books, I’m always reading something. But when I play games I want to play, I don’t want to read a book and so I just couldn’t get into Disco Elysium. I wanted to, i really did, and I’ve tried several times now but I’d rather lay on a couch and read a book, not sit at my desk and read one.
I couldn’t get into Disco Elysium, maybe I’ll give it another go.
It is pretty decent, but if you don’t like reading/listening to lots of text, you won’t have a good time.
The super-racist NPC is the only one I went straight to skipping dialogue over. He was a useless wall of ham

Might be better on console? I was playing it on the couch and had a good old time. Like being involved in story time.
Same here. It just is a weird story with a sense of humor that isn’t really my thing. I can understand the appeal though.
