My experience being male and into cardio is that so many dudes simply do not give cardio enough attention. Cardio gives you super quick recovery time when doing anything physical, and overall gives you way better endurance so you can work on more muscles in a strength training session
I’ve seen dudes with muscles worthy of a magazine spread fail to match my regular runs or bike rides because they simply do not put enough focus on cardio
This is what I’ve read, the calories-over-time that muscle burns “for free” outweighs any weight loss you can get from exercise.
Cardio is more for escaping melee combat
building muscle through resistance training is the best way to get your body to burn more calories. cardio is exercise for heart and lungs
