Great article, absolutely blows my mind that people really live like this. I just visited Edinburgh where I walked over 10km every day. The american mind can’t comprehend this.
I’m an American in the deep South. Most of our roads don’t have sidewalks. Unless I make an effort, and walk in the road, I could easily have under 2000 steps a day. 😐

I don’t believe you. You would rather die than use
metriccommunist units.I’d rather use metric units than die but they aren’t all that. Ten fingers is an accident of biology and basing our units on that number is insane.
You might be confusing it with the decimal system
