Traffic engineers have been saying this about many urban cores for decades now but drivers are whiny pissbabies that think walking across a parking lot is excessive work.

Well, it does feel like excessive work. I hate walking across a parking lot. It feels so frustatingly pointless, wasteful, boring, and it’s ugly.

Good news for them is that with pedestrianizing, they no longer won’t have to do that!

Yeah pedestrianizing fidi has been a discussion at least as far back as Bloomberg’s mayoralty in the early 00s, but the people opposing it because they get a private cab to the door of their workplace every day happen to be literally the most powerful people in the country.

I mean with my city its kinda obvious as the city core is surrouned on 2 sides by a river and a third by a lake. Ill give them they can keep the historical road that runs through but they should remove off ramps to the core. Only city and delivery vehicles.
