Please make them stop. Why are they still legal? My neighbor has been using a mower, weed eater, and leaf blower for 5.5 hours. Nobody else ever notices the noise but my auditory sensitivities make me want to claw my skin off.

I think about this a lot. But it’s also so hot out and I know these (individual) guys aren’t getting paid enough. If I call them in for starting up half an hour early, I feel like an asshole because the alternative is them doing more work in the heat of the day. You know their employers aren’t gonna hire more guys to get it done quicker before the heat becomes oppressive or dangerous.

That’s a good point. I just need to start keeping my noise canceling phones charged. Got some on amazon before I started boycotting big tech. They were only $40. Almost as good as Bose and don’t malfunction after one use like my $400 Bose ones did.
