It’s not boneheaded. Playstation is Sony at this stage. It’s basically their entire company. Know how they make the most of their money from Playstation? Their PS+ subscription to play online, and their 30% cut off every single transaction on the platform. Releasing their games on PC means, when 99% of all other games on PS release on PC as well, means that there’s basically no reason to buy a Playstation.
Microsoft found this out and basically cratered their console business, but that’s ok to them since they make the biggest PC gaming OS. For Sony it would just speed up their console business demise.
Now with merchable, cute animals and a literal companion cube named Frank?
Looks cool. Let’s see if it really stays as exclusive as they recently announced. I prefer keyboard and mouse.
It’s definitely going to stay exclusive. Sony wants you to pay $999 for “PC performance”
It’ll stay exclusive for a few years. And then they’ll look at the economics again and possibly reconsider their current stance.
Ugh, I was getting all excited until you reminded me about that boneheaded move of theirs.

Why and how could anyone prefer mouse and keyboard for a third person cinematic hack and slash game? Makes no sense.
