Congratulations Aussies, we have a Trumpette!
Australia was never monocultural and can never be monocultural. Before and during English colonisation there was a pre-existing culture on this continent which will continue into the future and will not be erased. As for European-descended colonisers, from the beginning the colony was split between Protestants and Catholics, English and Irish, ruling class and their enforcers and convicts and so on. And that’s just for starters. There has never been a monoculture. There is a monocle view which makes it simple not to think.
What are your favourite (or reviled) Pauline truisms (or falsisms)?

That’s the first thing I thought of too, the agricultural meaning, and how monoculture is bad for the land and for living beings. She either does not have enough understanding to see the implications of what she’s saying, or, she wants to stir the pot to get lots of attention and social media action.
