The Bibi/Trump breakup, he doesn’t have the public support to actually fight the war in a way that he can potentially win, more inflation means he’ll lose his base, farmers need fertilizer, the gulf states didn’t actively participate, the USN needs its Bahrain gas station.
I don’t know who you is, but I’ll wager that the planners thought that once Iran started striking their infrastructure they’d fight. Iran, Israel, Saudi, and the UAE have been fighting each other through proxies for quite a while.
The US didn’t have a definable end so so planners had no way to really plan this the way they historically would.

The states you mentioned belong to the Middle East. Why they fight and how they fight is entirely their business.
My question is, what business had Trump in continuing the fight after Netanyahu sparked off the whole thing ??
The fall out wasn’t very pleasant, at least not where l live, even though l live far away from the Middle East.
We’ve been talking war with Iran for 25 years, usually .gov comes to their senses this time they didn’t.
