There’s a house I drive past occasionally that was vacant, windows smashed, and covered in spray paint “Commie” (and much less pleasant things) for the longest time. Always sticks out, but whatever still less of a risk than many comrades face daily just for existing

I tried running a campaign based on (unbeknownst) leftist principles a dozen years ago at my respective “boys state”. I got absolutely bodied by a guy whose shtick was “the rapping Jew” (his words). I get the impression that could happen again at a broader scale lol.
It seems like I’ve got about a year before filing wraps. This is gonna sound wild - but i kind of feel like with the current administration (or just in general?) there are a few things in my favor:
- have the same last name as the incumbent
- could channel some kind of persona to build a good kayfabe against the current administration
- I’ve got an idea where I’ll work a day for you, and you can take the day off. I’ve worked a ton of bullshit jobs, I don’t even care if you vote for me, I just want you to enjoy the day off that the ruling class will never give you
