The USB dongle is plugged in. Does this override Bluetooth settings in options? If yes, is it possible to truly turn off Bluetooth connectivity and how would you test that, since the Bluetooth setting itself is toggled off? If not, how is it doing this?

Trying to search for the answer via search engine just gives me troubleshooting to make the mouse connect, which is the opposite of my question.

The dongle likely used RF, not bluetooth. The computer just reads from the dongle as if it were a wired USB connection.

My mouse has dual modes, so I can connect with the dongle or via bluetooth. I use the dongle because I generally hate bluetooth and keep it disabled, and also because you get higher polling rates over RF than you do with bluetooth.

Also, why are you using windows?
