When I get back in bed with my first cup of the day, the kitty typically gets on my lap and takes a big SNIFF of it. I’ve never seen another animal be consistently interested like that- I like to imagine she’s a reincarnation who really enjoyed coffee in a past life, and this is a simple reminder of that

I don’t have coffee around ever, but I had a cat once that would eat lettuce and spinach from my salad. not a lot but would patiently wait for me to give him a small leaf. no dressing, please.

For sure! We’ve got a big planter of oat/wheat/rye grass and catnip that she likes to monch on. I’ve planted one outside for the outdoor cats too - they also deserve some roughage.
Side bar- our cat firmly is anti-outdoors lol I’ve taken her out with a harness and she hates it. She’ll humor it for a minute before using all of her strength to start pulling towards the door. Really liked scratching a real tree though, so I’ve been looking to build a “naturally sourced” cat tree to replicate that
