When I get back in bed with my first cup of the day, the kitty typically gets on my lap and takes a big SNIFF of it. I’ve never seen another animal be consistently interested like that- I like to imagine she’s a reincarnation who really enjoyed coffee in a past life, and this is a simple reminder of that

My old cat loved coffee grounds. When I was younger and making coffee in the morning he’d always join me and wait to see if I spilled any grounds on the floor. If I did he would roll all over in the grounds before I’d kick him out and later I would try and brush it off of him since caffeine isn’t too good for the fellas.
Cats are so fucking funny, top tier creatures.
