Is there anything stopping politicians from other countries doing this why is it always the British?
Canada and the US both have a history of joke candidates/parties
Mexico had a wrestler run (and win!).
I think they have some unique laws that anyone can stand in an election. I don’t know the details, but some commenters seem quite pleased and proud that the system works as it does.
IIRC they need like 10 signatures.
