Yes, reddit is one of the most popular sites on the internet and lemmy (the whole fediverse really) is much, much smaller. I browse /all/new, id never do that on reddit.

It has become increasingly difficult for the majority of the population to maintain good literacy rates, for instance. When youre alienated from everything you see and consume, it’s not easy to feel attached to the systems which got you here, leading to radicalism, for good or ill.

Why would I want AI to regurgitate the ideas that already exist? I can just read them. I want power over my life, my work, my government. Are any of these Silicon Valley tools going to give that to me? Unlikely.
