40 years of crippled public education and propaganda talk radio

It isn’t pathetic, it is an engineered strategy that has been ongoing since before any of us were born and it’s working because almost no one bothers to do anything but meme about it

I think it might get a lot of people who don’t like what’s happening but accept it to cross over into not accepting it.

I’m not super hopeful that it would matter legislatively or judicially, but I might be the kick in the pants the population needs to go on a general strike, or take other actions.

Calling that disgusting snake Chuck Schumer the Palestinian senator is pretty hilarious, given where he stands on the genocide.

He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him.

As a Canadian I know almost nothing about Zohran Mamdani, but I do know that he has more class than a man ever will who, while President of the USA, writes this, or the people who see a non-white left-winger win a democratic vote and immediately call for his deportation. The world can see this. Trump and MAGA are bringing shame on your country.

This tweet by Trump is close to calling for an assassination.

He’s prepping up the fascist transition for the midterms, and it couldn’t be any more obvious. If it isn’t outright theft it’s going to be voter suppression and voter manipulation on an entirely different scale. It’s so ridiculous to think the US is a democracy anymore, at this point the whole country is a confidence game and a scam that’s just mobilizing the capital of the people who they already have scammed against new targets.

To be fair, NYC is a huge city and so its mayor is a major figure in the US. The most recent population I could find was 8.8 million people, vs. the total US at 340 million. NYC is, therefore, home to 2.6% of the US population. As a polity, NYC represents more people than the 9 least populous states (Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, N Dakota, S Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, and Maine) combined. In fact, there are only 12 US states that have a bigger population than NYC alone, and one of those is New York state. From a population perspective, the mayor of NYC is equivalent to the governor of Virginia. That’s why everyone is freaking out about this so much. Plus he’s young and very handily beat the candidate backed by the DNC establishment, showing cracks in what they assumed was a solid neoliberal core.

I like how they’ve gone full mask off and given up on the anti-semite attacks and are just calling anyone not calling for Gaza to be ethnically cleansed a Palestinian like it’s an insult. Not even hiding the Islamophobia any more.

It’s also double funny that he’s calling fucking Schumer a Palestinian, it’s like calling Biden a communist, which he also probably said. It just goes to show no matter how much the dems try to moderate to accommodate the conservatives they’ll always be the enemy.

Plenty of times. The point of making the absurd claim is because the correction to the error contributes nothing but a deflection from the initial claim.

IDK what you mean, Bernie Sanders is the most popular overall politician in the USA and he made it to the final two in multiple presidential primary elections before losing by large margins of votes.

They literally combined super delegates won by different candidates and then said he lost to that.

Another example, David Hogg getting removed after his win.

              1. Idk what year you’re talking about but Bernie lost by 3,708,294 votes (Bernie 13,206,428 to Clinton 16,914,722) in 2016 and by 9,400,078 votes (Bernie 9,680,424 to Biden 19,080,502) in 2020.

              2. David Hogg was removed from a committee by vote after another member issued a formal complaint that their February ballot did not follow internal gender parity rules by combining candidates in a way that disadvantaged female candidates. David Hogg left his position gracefully but decided on his own to not run for the position again.

Bernie won NH, NV, and won the popular vote in Iowa in the 2020 primaries. Biden took SC, then right before Super Tuesday, every other candidate in the field dropped out IN UNISON and endorsed Biden. This was a direct action from top DNC leadership to smother out Sanders, a truly viable populist, progressive candidate that threatened status quo Dem economic policies. You can throw numbers around, but you can’t erase what we saw with our own eyes.

Then! Then, the Democratic Party said “fuck a primary” in 2024, disguised Biden’s lack of mental acuity, forced a candidate on its voters, and built an entire platform (which lost) on appealing to moderate Republicans.

Open your eyes; we either need new leadership, or a new party.

Nobody has ever successfully primaried an incumbent. People like you get made that 2024 primary was normal.

Even if you think Biden somehow stole endorsements, the popular vote difference was double. Biden had double the votes that Bernie had.

What we desperately need is to remove every Republican

The popular vote numbers are convincing on the face until you realize that Sanders conceded before all the primaries were held. This means for a lot of states Biden was the only option.

It would be a better argument if Sanders was a viable candidate in every race.

Regardless he did concede and you can litigate the reasons for that if you guys want.
