I use PolyTerra Army Blue for all my Navy Blue needs. Technically it’s a matte filament but I honestly can’t tell.

I have a 100 mile round trip commute that I’ve been doing for over a decade and think I have enough real world experience to say that it’s really just dumb luck as to whether weaving will get you ahead or not based on the layout of traffic at any given moment.

I used to do it more often but wound up getting boxed in enough times to lose all my progress and these days I don’t really care if it takes me an extra 5 or 10 minutes of travel time. I pretty much now reserve it for situations where some douchebag wants to act like the hall monitor of the road and obstruct the passing lane by refusing to pass cars in the center lane “because I’m already going five over!”

I have the same issue with a lot of my zigbee devices whether Aqara, Ikea, or others. Even a device that reads properly will stick at 100% once the battery is replaced the next time. I just wait until stuff stops working to know when to replace the battery and have a 50 pack of coin cell batteries on hand.

I have an LG C3 OLED from Costco and its easily the best TV I’ve ever had and got it for pretty cheap. Not sure if they make it in a smaller size than 55" though.

It does have smart slop integrated into it, but I blacklisted all the LG domains on my home router and haven’t been nagged by any of this stuff since.

I just saw a video from a local news channel about a different patch of land in Georgia where Georgia Power was given an easement across a bunch of people’s land, essentially cutting these people’s property in half, then they clear cut the forest at the back of their properties and installed some giant transmission line towers also to power datacenters. One young couple interviewed had just bought their property and were planning on using the land to grow food but now they can’t and they also can’t sell because only half their property is usable despite them having paid for the entire plot.

Agreed. I think there are tons of businesses people have never heard of because they serve a specific niche and aren’t public facing or household names. I don’t think its easy to launch a successful business but it wasn’t easy in the past either amd we don’t remember all the companies that didn’t make it.

Regarding ‘honesty,’ that probably depends on the market and what your competitors are willing to do. Its probably a lot easier to run an honest local restaurant than some international finance firm. You’ll probably need to sacrifice your integrity to reach those higher echelons because everyone else there was already willing to do the same.
