Isn’t that a requirement?

Supporters of these agreements highlight their value for the European Union’s strategic autonomy. They argue that the deals will help reduce risks not only in trade relations with China, but also with the United States. Less dependence – commercial and energy-related – means greater firmness vis-à-vis autocrats such as Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin. Yet this fact is often overlooked in Europe’s public debate.
Indeed!

The Portuguese PM is in tune with everyone else in the EU except Spain. The Spanish leader is the outlier. Why the hell anyone would expect the Portuguese PM (right wing) to side with the Spanish one (left wing depending on far-left support)?
The title only shows ignorance about Portuguese politics and an idiot assumption that we are a minion of Spain of some sort. 9 centuries successfully keeping Spanish interference away and we still need to read this bs titles.

More countries with nukes is not good, imagine Orban with nukes. But EU owned and managed nukes? Sounds great to me.

How!? Europe has been promoting negotiations with Iran for years… zero results.

You were just calling vassals to European states, and now we’re imperialistic? Make up your mind

Russian puppet detected ⤴️

Iraqis we’re not demonstrating asking the US to bomb their regime. You’re mixing different things all the time…

Their demanding being to destroy democracy or instead implementing it. But I guess you can’t see that difference.

Nope, but also can’t see any resemblance with the Iranian situation.

I’m going to a demonstration here in Brussels next Sunday, organized by Iranian exiles, I’ll show them your input.

When a regime kills 30.000 protestors in a few days don’t be surprised that their exiled family members ask the regime to be bombed. I fully understand them.

Note: this is a referendum on whether to restart the negotiations. I assume a second one would be needed if this one passes and negotiations are concluded.

There are literally dozens of Iranians asking for it on European streets. Demonstrations every week, often very explicitly asking for that.

Hardly. The requirements alone to become a Frontex agent are miles away from the ones needed to be a ICE thug.
Despite the sensacionalist title this group is doing mostly an harmonization of policies and increase efficiency along the Schengen area, something basic for an area with no internal borders and that is essential to keep Schengen alive.
The alternative is what we’ve been seeing, national borders being resuscitated.
