I waited behind a lady at the self kiosk for like 15 min while she repeatedly swiped her phone across some plastic piece on the machine. Machine did not have contactless pay.

Late reply. But yeah there are a thousand other tech bros who have done similar things. Taken in investments. lied about their product. even pushed out products to consumers that are potentially dangerous.

I think she got so much attention because 1. She’s a woman. And honestly there aren’t that many women con artist in the tech industry. There are some. But it’s mostly guys.

And 2. She’s an attractive woman. (I didn’t say she’s a super model but she is objectively above average). So makes for good click bait. She looks good on camera.

People love to hate on good looking people who have fallen. Makes “us” all feel better about our shitty place when we see other people with privilege also fail.
