I think your post was quite unproductive as it failed to clearly state a problem then. Your post essentially boils down to “I said a thing and people on the internet trolled me for it - how am I supposed to afford the therapy they recommended” while also constructing a scenario where the therapy you were recommended was clearly just an offhand troll doing troll shit.

I’d reinforce that a strong social network can help alleviate a fair amount of our dependency on therapy if we’re focused on the cost aspect and I’m not certain what other discussion you were attempting to spur.

So this post is just a platform for you to vaguely criticize therapy? It sounds like it’s financially out of reach where you live and that sounds like a societal issue. But I will happily admit that a lot of what people depend on therapy could likely be much more cheaply given by having a stronger social network.

This is something I tell my coworkers with ADHD as a senior level person and former manager - you need to accept yourself and what you can do. Sure, exploit the fuck out of brain on time and crash through tasks - but accept that this is temporary. Feeling in the dumps and guilty about not being productive - accept that this is also temporary and (I know this isn’t easy) try and tear yourself away from the task and be unproductive in the most pleasant manner… I try to go for walks when I’m in a slump and sometimes it lets me shuffle my brain enough to be productive - sometimes it doesn’t… but I’m happier having had a walk than zoning out in indecision.

It’s all temporary - our most common strength is improvising and we need to respond to what our brain tells us instead of fighting it constantly and I hope you all have jobs that allow you to do so because I have had an “always on” job and it was absolutely miserable.

I think it’s necessary but it’s a terrible sign for democracy that it is necessary. The popularity of such an obviously foreign backed party is a clear sign that the dominant parties are fueling deep internal dissent.

I support drastic actions to prevent fascism but if the underlying reasons why the centrist party is so unpopular and why an extremist party is so attractive (usually economic oppression brought on by our wonderful late stage capitalism) then another party will quickly take their place.

A government needs to earn the loyalty and approval of its populace and lately there has been too much of a global lean into corporatocracy.

A property owner has a right not to have their property destroyed, a vandal has a right not to be unreasonably detained. Destruction of property is usually a civil matter and when it isn’t it is a criminal matter that doesn’t fit the standard definition of terrorism outside really specific circumstances. Both parties deserve to be treated fairly through this process - America has removed that guarantee for the vandal.
