    Be careful. Canada had a right wing party that went to zero in the late 80s. This led to way too much power for the other party for over a decade, then the party got co-opted by hard core religious right wingers very cosy with the US. Even in 2025, their leader was a US citizen.

      im not saying conservatives have to go away. They just need to find themselves and do a new shingle. I realize they will not go away which is why I would expect a rise to third parties and a split with democrats given many democrats are right of actual center.
