I got diarrhea yesterday. To be able to go to work today I drank a cup of kefir with a probiotic pill that had L. Reuteri in it plus a big spoon full or 36hr L. Reuteri yogurt. L. Reuteri is seriously the best probiotic out there.

Sort of. Taylor Farms grew the lettuce. The Jalapenos were grown by Coast Citrus and bought by just about everybody. Taylor Farms is effectively a victim in this, but their name currently draws clicks.

This happened under Biden with E.coli in onions. Taylor farms because they produce $7.5B in onions just in Colorado.

“whatabout” all you want, the FDA has been gutted in a way that no other administration in history can come close to matching. They are simply no longer watching. Food companies haven’t been this free to do what they want to our food since Upton Sinclair caused everyone to pay attention in the first place.
I’d wager those are both sold to Taco Bell as well. They’ve had some horrendous luck here.
Maybe some kind of audit /supervision process picked up this issue, so not really bad luck just bad established practices.

Don’t get me wrong. Take the warning labels off (looking at you prop 65), but when someone else is literally financially encouraged to taint food, it’s a good thing to have oversight.

Not exactly. They produce millions of pounds of vegetables, so contamination is impossible. The problem is the agency responsible for food safety has been reduced to three people for the entire country. They had outbreaks under Biden that were quickly contained. Put blame where it belongs.

Maybe. But you can’t put responsibility completely on a governmental watchdog group to catch these situations after a product has already been tainted, packaged, sold, and consumed. This corporation clearly has some quality assurance issues they need to remedy. And yes, the government should have strict standards companies need to follow to prevent issues from occurring in the first place…
