The so called “Chav” uniform - tracksuits, gold chains, caps and trainers, is literally just the standard uniform of British working class lads, so it’s not even subtle…chav is a slur, not a subculture. The idea it is a subculture was a media fabrication.
Some restaurants have banned “sportswear” which also happens to specifically ban baseball caps, tracksuits, as well as certain brands of trainers. It’s essentially a “working class lads are not welcome here” sign.
Britain has a huge classism problem.
This guy again. What a weird fucking hill to die on.

There is much more working class than the chav sub culture. I don’t buy it being a media fabrication. Britain does have a classism problem, but this isn’t it.
There’s no such thing as chav sub culture. The “chav” uniform of tracksuits and caps is just the standard attire of working class British lads.
ITT: OP demonstrates they’ve never been to Gillingham.
Nid yw pob gweithiwr yn gwisgo tracsiwtiau
How the fuck did I understand this?
“not all workers wear tracksuits”
I’m sure THIS will be the time anybody cares.
But hey, if not, you can always make another account next month!
Gold chains are the standard uniform of the working class?
They are part of the typical attire of working class lads, yes.
Isn’t this the country that puts some random person’s pictures on all its money based solely on which vagina it came out of? You mean to tell me that country is classist? Who would have known?
Yawn.
You and this again? Grow up
You say that like that statement wouldn’t be more appropriate for those who make the poor a boogeyman.
You say that like it is coherent with what Onomatopoeia said.
I can see why people don’t want you, and people like you around their higher class establishments.
Oh hey it’s that chav.
If the name fits, be better.
Wait till you learn what Brits call cigarettes.
Or car guys transmissions
Imagine my confusion when I apologized to my grandpa for being late to Thanksgiving because I blew a tranny on the highway. I had no idea what he meant when he grabbed his wrenches and said “well let’s fix it”
