    Up to the point that whatever they use or produce doesn’t work anymore because of bad parts, or customers die, their stuff gets a reputation like the Ford Pinto and sales tank.

      With how many corporations have merged, they don’t care anymore. They’ll risk the loss because they can pivot to a different brand in their conglomerate.

      On anything that matters, try and buy local. The smaller the company, the less they can ignore risks like you mention.

        As always in life it’s a little column a and b. I think what they’re trying to get at is that this doesn’t save any economic productivity in the long run and runs counter to the traditional “principles” of capitalism.
