I started getting up early to do fun stuff before work, but I honestly eventually found that getting chores done instead actually makes me feel even better! I get up at 5, work out, take a shower, do some Japanese lessons, pack my wife a lunch, and clock in by 6:30. Then when I’m done with work I’m done with everything for the day. I think the calmness of the early hours helps me focus and keeps my brain from thinking of all the other things I’d rather be doing, plus I’m still half asleep when I start working out, so I do my first set completely on auto pilot.
Sure, to each their own, but the thing I want to point out to people who haven’t tried is that although everyone bangs on about waking up really early to do productive things, that you can also wake up really early to help put yourself in a good mood and make yourself happy before you face the challenges of the day, which i have not seen any rich people/self help gurus/influencers talk about
Ah, gotcha. I don’t use other social media, so I wasn’t aware that there were already people advocating for getting up early. I suppose it’s not a difficult conclusion to come to.
Oh, I have heard that before. I interpreted it more as advocating getting up with your alarm instead of hitting snooze a million times, but this makes more sense.

“early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise”
