My current daily watch has been The Great North. I started watching it with my daughter, who loves Bob’s Burgers, when it first was released but she did not care for it. A few months ago she was telling me about this great show from the Bob’s Burgers people… Yeah, The Great North. Anyway, real good show. It shows a much different family dynamic than Bob’s Burgers.
As for current stuff, i am watching Lanterns.
I love the great north! It’s really wholesome. My favourite is dad or Moon. Whose yours?
Well, Moon is basically my younger daughter, while Wolf is my older daughter… so a toss up between those two. I do really like Honey Bee too.

Silo Season 3. It’s been great.
Wife stopped watching because she thinks it was too depressing.
Nothing much else except Conan O’Brien Must Go, but that’s kinda second screen material.
I have so many feelings about season 3 lol. The first season got me amped and I read all 3 books, which got me even more amped.
Then season 2 did it’s thing where it sorta stretched plotlines to fill out the season, and added some of it’s own.
Season 3 is following that same thread and I’m so mixed on my own reactions to it.
I guess moral of this was don’t read the series after watching the first season 🙃
You’re absolutely right about the stretching in the middle. Each season starts great, has a weird stretched middle, and then a solid finale.
I didn’t love the start of season 3, so this whole season felt like a slog, but the finale two episodes were excellent.
I’m glad that season 4 is the finale, because otherwise I probably wouldn’t stick with it.
There’s not much more they can do without going off the book and into new territory, which would be super difficult. The end of this season still has mixed feelings for me, but was absolutely better than the start.
It probably doesn’t help that they’re kinda filling in pieces that the books didn’t have lol
I’ve been binging The Pitt; I think I’m 3 episodes deep on Season 2. It’s phenomenal.
Lanterns is also Outstanding
Season 3 of Silo is the best season yet I think.
Dark Matter is super entertaining. Much better than the book, which I actually thought was not great.
The Pitt may be the single greatest television show of all time.
I regularly get choked-up multiple times per episode. And I don’t get that way normally.

I’m trying to like lanterns, but there’s not a single likeable character. It’s tough.
I’m binging the entire series of Babylon 5. I’m two eps deep into season 2. So far, I would not recommend it. My biggest peeve is that their security is so bad it causes half the problems in the show. Then it gets resolved and everybody glazes the chief security officer. The aliens are a bit one dimensional but the interactions are good. I like the steady critique of capitalism. I think the long arc is getting into swing too.
Keep watching, it’ll grow on you

I’m just a bit ahead of you (maybe 2/3rds through season 2) and I have to say, in my ignorant opinion, things really improve as the second season goes on. (Admittedly, I mostly stopped as it’s hard to find time in the summer but that’s my memory.)
Lanterns (HBO)
Ignore any reviews you’ve seen online. It’s a great show so far and if you have any interest, it’s worth your time to watch the first episode at least.
Ha, fully agree. I felt kind of burned out of super hero stuff (I’ll go see spiderman eventually though) so was wary about Lanterns but it’s been an absolute blast.
Is it a superhero show? The synopsis I read made it sound like a mix of mystery and sci-fi.
No, the synopsis is absolutely correct. But the protagonists are a superhero (Green Lantern) and a superhero in training. They use powers etc but yeah, mostly it’s been mystery/sci fi, just in the context of a super hero world?
(Green lanterns deal with space shit, in the show, seems like space shit happening in the Midwest.)

Just finished the second season of 100 years of Solitude. I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about it! It’s beautifully shot, masterfully acted and a faithful, worthy adaption of a masterpiece of literature.

Watching old trailer park boys episodes that are pretty funny but also pretty one note. Saw the first couple episodes of widow’s bay that was pretty good, I’ll probably watch the rest of the season.

I’ve just finished Ted Lasso (minus season 4, because it’s not complete and tbh I don’t even know if i will watch season 4. I’ve heard it’s pretty meh).
And now I’m gonna finish Ted (the teddy bear that came to life). I’m 1 season in
Ted Lasso Season 4 has been pretty hit or miss for me so far. Even in the ‘meh’ episodes there are shining moments of brilliance. Unfortunately there are also blah moments of ‘meh’ in the shining episodes as well.
Working my way through Dr. Stone, just finished Vox Machina S04 and I do recommend.
I’ve committed to the first season of Bosch, after flirting with it for a while. I initially wasn’t sure because I’m not a big fan of American police procedurals, but this one has a bit of a noir feel which drew me in. Then I read a Guardian review which described it as “paint-by-numbers” and I started second-guessing myself, until I heard a football journalist who works for The Guardian randomly recommend it on a post-World Cup episode and decided it was a sign to give it a try.
So far it is quite good. Definitely very formulaic and clichéd, but I’m not sure I really want experimental or groundbreaking in this type of genre. Something that feels familiar is actually the vibe I think I was looking for when this show appeared on my radar. I can just watch an episode here and there and not get too invested.
Bosch is copganda101 and is forgettable in every way.
If has a great intro, though.
I was into the show for the first few seasons and then I dumped it when I was fast forwarding through every scene with the daughter.
Reacher: Season 4 - I’ve enjoyed this season so far, about as good as season 1, and better than season 2 and 3. The side characters are definitely better than those of other seasons.
The Gentlemen: Season 2 - Only a couple episodes in so far. Gonna binge some more tonight. Glad this show came back, and Guy Ritchie returned to direct/write some of the episodes.
Lantern - Entertaining show. It seems like it’s slowly building up to explode into something really good. We’ll see.
Lioness: Season 3 - Decent enough season, if you can look past a bit of right-wing propaganda. I enjoyed the first season much more than the current one, but i’ll withhold final judgement until i’ve seen the remaining episodes.
The Venture Bros. It’s such a well-written show thanks to only having had two writers in its entire 7 season run. There’s something about it that makes it infinitely rewatch-able. The only complaint I have about it is that it was canceled too early.
