I got nostalgic because that lady is on an English book cover I used to study in middle school (I forgot the title of the book tho)
every fucking day in the state and management thinks AI will fix this
Top: Me explaining the feature to other engineers
Bottom: Product management explaining their feature idea to engineering
Bottom seems like a typical user request, made by at least 3 different departments of the customer not really agreeing on how things work day to day on their site.
Plot twist: this ”super urgent” request was actually never needed (as shown by usage metrics).
With AI the developer doesn’t know any of the code anymore.
That’s a lot of vibing. Typically for work stuff I’m directing and reviewing everything. (Not always though. I certainly vibe tests a little more.)
And then there are management devs that throw out half the code then complain it doesnt work anymore
