Diego Córdoba and Luis Martínez‑Zoroa’s research is the foundation of the announcement that artificial intelligence has solved one of the greatest enigmas in history. Both believe the achievement will radically change the discipline
The snag was that his collaborator is Levent Alpöge, a mathematician who works at Anthropic.
Dr. Buckmaster said since he and Dr. Alpöge had used both OpenAI and Anthropic tools, […]
I wouldn’t be surprised however, if the scientists mentioned in the OP also used slop tools to get into this situation. And if they did not, their work can’t have been used - unless a peer shared it with the slop fuckers.
At this point, hiding from OpenAI and Anthropic is almost as hard as hiding from Facebook and Google. It doesn’t matter if you personally Just Say No, when you have no way to control what everyone else in your circles will with your information.
For example, when you exchange phone numbers with someone, you don’t know what apps on their phone have “contacts” access. Every fucking social media app they use now knows your name, phone number, and at least part of your social graph.
With AI, let’s say you send someone an email. You have no idea what their email client will do with that. Microsoft won’t fucking quit with AI integration. And even if they’re using decent software that doesn’t automatically funnel everything into AI, otherwise-sane people paste fucking everything into ChatGPT themselves. You cannot realistically protect yourself if you collaborate with anyone.
Are these the moron mathematicians who worked for Anthropic and brought this entirely upon themselves?
no
My apologies, it appears this stealing laurels is now a mass phenomenon by the slop fuckers. I was thinking of this incident: https://dnyuz.com/2026/09/10/an-n-y-u-mathematician-clashed-with-openai-over-a-1-million-proof/

You are sadly correct. FB should have been smashed into bits 15 years ago for allowing their users to agree to share their address books.
All billionaires are a plague to this planet.
