I think you could save this one still. People knew his name before he was elected leader because he was imprisoned by his racist government. That’s not really a good thing.

Ok, Ho Chi Minh, and the one thing that the guy who oversaw crimes against humanity and slavery against Uncle Ho’s people was known for was good. The other things Charles De Gaul did, not so much.

Ghandi, Abraham Lincoln, and Queen Elizabeth were known for their positive contributions
No? He was a leader during USA civil war, nothing noteworthy on the world scale. He was for freeing some slaves, but famously not his.
