I actually kinda like that Abram’s Star Trek takes place in an alternate universe. In that way, it hasn’t ruined anything. None of his movies are in the Prime universe.
And I like that Disney doesn’t have mind control drugs (yet?) so I can just consider their shit a seperate universe that Luke hallucinated after banging his head too hard on one of those doors designed more for looking like a cool sci fi door and less for being easy to go through without banging your head.
But they did blow up Romulus in the Prime Universe and give us Picard.
