Outside big cities there are more people owning property who can charge at home. Anecdotal evidence suggests it’s mostly boomers who value the flexibility of driving over 1000km in a row who are still buying cars with combustion engines. Are they ever driving that far? No. But they could in some kind of arcane emergency.
