Watching Slow Horses, which is a great show. And Small Prophets, which is a great British show. Both are recommended.

Anne+ aka Anne Plus (2018) - season 1 was way too short but season 2 was perfect.
Veronika (2023) - finished season 2 and it was great, just started season 3.
Thunder in My Heart (2021) - just started this but its good so far

I recently heard about this show called “scavengers reign” and saw a few clips. It looks pretty cool, so I’ll try it out.

Just watched the two episode premiere of VisionQuest. Seems decent, and Spader chewing scenery is definitely the best part, but the little dose of Philomena Cunk is also welcome.

Catching up on Slow Horses, thoroughly impressed.

Also the Avatar Aang movie and the new series Avatar Seven Havens feels like the show never left.

Right now I’m working my way through Letterkenny for the first time. But I’ve been following Small Prophets, Brothers, Dark Matter, and Slow Horses as new episodes come out. I also recently finished Snowfall, which was fantastic and Amazon’s new Carrie, which was decent.

    The West Wing, again.

Things can be better. It’s on HBO or you can find it on the open ocean.

GBBO series 17 has been good so far.

Neagley season 1 was overall good. I think a season 2 would have great potential.

    Reacher S4 was awesome.

Ted Lasso S4 was great in many areas and shit in others, but overall I liked it and want to see that story continue a bit.

Futurama S11 was funny and definitely hit the mark for me.

SNL has been kinda weak; not enjoying this group of comedians or the new version of the theme song.

About to start and excited to see Dustfall (Anna Torv’s new show) and VisionQuest.

Finally, not a new show or show with new episodes at the moment, but recommend Alex vs America. Great cooking competition show and one of my go-tos for entertaining TV.

I think this “ending” of Futurama may have been the first one I have actually been really pleased with. It seemed so thoughtful and fitting.

Since we’re in the television community talking about tv shows, I figured that was enough context already.

GBBO = The Great British Bake Off

And SNL = Saturday Night Live, just in case anyone doesn’t know that one, either.

I’m a big fan of American Dad (I think it’s by far the best of the “adult” animated shows), though it’s spotty the last few seasons as any show that’s been on for 20 years is lol. Anyway, every so often they try something new with an episode, and the recent season finale scratched ALL the itches for me. 3 short sci-fi stories akin to the old pulp sci-fi magazine short stories. I absolutely adored it and have re-watched it around 10 times already. I really hope they do more like this.

          Good lad.

Spiritually, season 2 is peak Trek.

Season 3 is nostalgiafest that makes little sense given the end of season 2…

            Mild Star Trek Picard spoilers

You and I may be the only people who enjoyed season 2 of Picard. It was a weird one off episode, but for a whole season. It was like taking the Picard Flute episode, cranking up the weirdness, and just keeping on for an entire season.

I think for a finale season 3 is great. After the first two seasons it was clear they didn’t really have any ideas, so getting the gang back together for “one last mission” plus all the other 90s Trek references, it was a good call.

A lot of people don’t realise that Trek works best when it’s capital Weird. “oh we found yet another humanoid species that built a culture on one very specific contended aspect of human nature, let our heroes resolve it” are dime a dozen.

Then you have Masks, or PIC S2, which are cheesy, a bit all over the place, very much Alice in the looking glass episodes… and they bring out some of the best acting, the most enjoyable lore, and so on.

I’m planning on watching Elsbeth, spin-off from The Good Wife/Fight.
I liked the character and am curious how they evolved on their own. The series having 4 seasons helps.

I am slogging my way through the last season of “The Bob Newhart” show. You can tell by this point that the show went on too long. They’ve moved into a new apartment, but instead of refreshing the cast, their nextdoor neighbor moves into the same building. Suzanne Pleschette sure was stunning though, and the first two or three seasons were really good television.
