In many ways liberals tend to be moral perfectionists who sabotage their own cause by obsessing on the imperfections of their best people - and compounding it by saying anyone who doesn’t demonize Great But Not Perfect Person X is complicit in whatever offense Person X committed, such as Liking the wrong tweet. Conservatives tend to behave like team players with a “nobody’s perfect” philosophy, which gives them the advantage in the numbers game.
