There is so much going on in this ad, but what I love the most is that they fucking drilled a hole in their countertop for the USB-C cable. Who the fuck does that? Is that what Apple expects its customers to do?

Park this thing in a nook in the one area of the kitchen with a free outlet and then reshoot the commercial.

I think the oldest said it best. “Not cool.” She also didn’t use it? Clearly the smart one.

What a wonderful little detail 😂 How did they let that slip!

Get eggs and sliced bread, mix up the eggs in a bowl untill it’s the same colour, soak bread in mixture, put egg soaked bread in frying pan till cooked.

Then if you want to get fancy, add a bit of milk or cream to the mixture, salt and pepper, cinnamon if you want to feel festive. As kids we used to sprinkler sugar on it. I just dip it in ketchup.

There a 3 ways to fuck it up; getting egg shell in the mixture, leaving the bread in the mixture until it disolves, and burning it whilst cooking it

There’s a million recipes out there. You don’t need a clanker to pick one for you. What’s wrong with looking at some and imagining of you would like that combination of ingredients? Oh yes, that would require using your brain and that is strongly discouraged now we are paying for simple mental tasks.

I never said I couldn’t find a recipe - the question was: who the fuck doesn’t know how to make french toast?

          I don’t.

What a strange thing to so angry about.

It stressed me out, and that stupid clanker pod was was just making it worse. Do people aspire to live life like that? Looked hellish to me.

That was infuriatingly: Absolute Chaos (and hella long) As a parent of a teenager and a human, I feel like I was not the target of this ad or device. It didn’t make the morning better, just added another “person” amidst the chaos.

Like why couldn’t people just talk? “Hey mom, I don’t need a ride anymore a friend is taking me” “Hey honey, let’s take Ice Skating lessons” These people are so aloof and unrelatable.

And who makes French toast when they are in a hurry to leave?!

“Hey let’s buy this device so we can add an extra step to all of our communication.”

Exactly, the nail on the head there!

My comment is upvoted and the post is downvoted. I might not make the rules but it certainly seems as though I share the sentiment.

So relatable. I have nothing but disposable income so will be buying one of these dedicated square iPads for every room of this house I totally own.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. This product will likely flop and the ads will be off the air soon enough. There’s just too small of an audience for this kind of device.

I could definitely see uses for this device, but it’s in places I already have other devices that fill that void. We all have phones or laptops or tablets, this is just another thing… a solution looking for a problem. Thought the same with the Echo Show but I know at least one family with two of those, so guess we’ll see.

I could see something like this working as a control centre in an RV or trailer, but it’s uses are pretty limited.
