I can see a use for adjusting temperatures, based on expected ambient. On colder days, run efficiently. On hot days, run them hard before the weather hears up, to stay ahead of it.

Other than that though, there is no reason to be able to run the fridge out of safe range remotely. Tweak and monitor only.
