An anti-vaxxer sitting on the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee pitched European parliament members on “MEHA.”

I don’t get it. Why were they speaking to the European Parliament? In what role, and with what legitimacy?

      Good question.

The article doesn’t say much at all. It’s mostly US take. The writer, a freelance journalist, while he does work for the converstation afaik, published it on substack… What I found was that Dr Robert Malone has been ptomoted to be the head of CDC ( USA) by Robert Kennedy & Maga. He’s also been invited by some anti vaxx foundations in Europe on several occasions, and they attract a certain kind of rightwinged conspiracy politicians. How the members of European Parliament come into play, I don’t know either. Maybe he was invited by some rightwinged faction, But I don’t get it either.

Education does help. It’s not a vaccine against stupidity, but it helps limit the spread of the disease.

I’m gonna don my tinfoil hat and say this surge in alt medicine bullshit can’t be a coincidence. I’m starting to think it’s part of the plan to sicken and weaken the West along with the push to promote far right politics.

It’s also a good way to get people into questioning authorities. “The government has been lying to you about vaccines all along.” leads to “You can’t trust the government at all.” and ultimately “Vote for parties that will dismantle our current democratic system.” The anti-science/anti-vax crowd has always had a giant overlap with the politically far right.

russia/putin most likely was pushing the propaganda, remember the covid vaccine came out they were pushing the anti-vax narrative so much even thier own citizens refused to vaccinate. the anti-porn, age verification all traces back to russia. the one thing russia wants to do is weaken the west. this is how they do it, besides politically, just spread conspiracies.

It’s biological terrorism through misinformation. Why drop a bio weapon when you can just mislead the ignorant into spreading measles?

When the right does it, it’s not an attack on sovereignity. When anyone else, it’s doing politics because “it’s trendy in the US”, and is obviously done due to George or Alex Soros (with “Soros” is pronounced like if it was a German surname, so George can be accused of being a former SS soldier), and must be shut down ASAP and with any means necessary.

Yes, I know, the right believes in, celebrates, and uphold unequality, which implies the whole “different rules applies” doctrine of theirs, no need to tap the sign.

When people think of Europe’s past, “healthy” is usually not one of the adjectives that gets thrown around.
