    Big Tech social media connecting everyone in the world to the same feed was a mistake.

    What we need are FOSS tools that make it trivially easy for a non-technical person to host their own social group for whatever community they are part of. The fediverse provides this functionally, and is a step in the right direction, but we need to make it as easy as just opening a phone app. There has to be less friction than signing up an Instagram account.

      I’m working on a FOSS decentralised (takedown safe, actually working, like a real decentralised file system) protocol, but it’s only the base for any applications that might use it. I’d love some help to get it out but as much as people are interested and encouraging, no one seems to be willing to help out 🥲. I’m so bad at marketing too…
