This is not an accident. They did not discover, that their AI could produce child pornography and alter images of other people that is unwanted and or harmful to them and then made steps to stop that. They now make it so that this it complies in "jurisdictions where such content is illegal (as long as the user does not use a VPN that is).
What awful people. I hope the EU and UK sue them for as much as legally possible.
As much as I hope so too, EU suing them would more than likely “only” lead to a fine, and that fine would be, in comparison to what their income is, too little. We need to block US services, or replace them, or tax them more. Why not all three?
The EU can theoretically fine Twitter out of business (legally) which would result in the same outcome as banning them.
