The Canadian prime minister has called for an alliance of middle powers to stand up to the world’s great powers. This is a compelling idea, and one that Europe has been pursuing for 60 years, writes Le Monde columnist Pascal Riché.

Here’s a few Canadian that went to Eurovision
Céline Dion represented Switzerland in '98 and won.
Natasha St-Pier represented France and made it to 4th place in 2001.
Annie Cotton, Switzerland, 3rd place in '93.
They don’t count unfortunately as they relinquished their Prime Goose status for those events as competing for other countries. I want full Canada, all of the time eh. If Australia can do it, so can our winter cousins (am Australian, literally have Canadian cousins too and we’re both similar countries and people but complete opposites too).
