Le Chat is far better than GPT5 at coding, especially when not using English. I was surprised by how good it is given its smaller footprint in terms of international visibility. Furthermore, their edge model, ministral, Is surprisingly capable. Just run it offline on a small machine for a bit of fun. It’s also vision capable but I haven’t benched those capabilities on it.
