Ana Tiburcio won Pennsylvania House District 22 in Lehigh County, defeating Republican Robert E. Smith Jr. in a race that the party had to hold at all costs. Across the state, Jennifer Mazzocco claimed District 42 in Allegheny County, beating Republican Joseph Leckenby in the South Hills area near Pittsburgh. Both races were called on Tuesday night, and both winners wasted no time celebrating what felt like more than just a local political victory.

And the dem majority will accomplish nothing because their donors don’t want them to resist fascism enough to be effective.

Edit: Here is your democrats, beholden to Israel, trying to shutter reigning in Trump’s new war with Iran. This is the democratic behavior that is so fucking reviled. Dems get bribed and they sell America down the damn river.

I refuse to walk to the store because I took two steps and wasn’t there yet. Best to cut my legs off instead.

Do you think anyone in charge would do anything without motivation? When the Dems win, we then have to push them. But they’re more pushable. Embrace the progress.

Democrat leadership can never get there while they are beholden to corporate donors. They’re still at the table trying to convince you not to leave your home, that they’ll go get you what you need from the store yet they never actually leave the house either. They just keep you both at the table talking about what could be at the store.

          Still better than the alternative.

I think the point I’m trying to make is: there were two outcomes for this event. The better one happened. Enjoy that fact.

This is the friendly reminder to everyone that we can have less shit candidates for the Democratic seats if people get out there and actually WORK ON PRIMARYING USELESS CANDIDATES instead of preemptively going to smug nihilistic asshole mode.

It’s seriously as bad as Republicans breaking government then claiming government doesn’t work.

Allows Democrats to pick shit corporate candidates without even voting in the primary, much less backing an alternative

“See?? It’s only shit corporate candidates!”

Sure. Being useless is better than being malicious but democrat leader’s unwillingness to do anything to stop this shit is complicity. They aren’t doing nothing though, they’re siphoning people’s outrage and energy into a void of complacency. They’re a lightning rod for investment that could be going toward doing something about what’s happening.
