Only for the 40 years of membership in the EEC/EU and then only politically in certain circumstances, not culturally.

We’ve always referred to it as the continent or europe. Britain has never seen itself as fully part of Europe. Only for the 40 years of membership in the EEC/EU and then only politically in certain circumstances, not culturally.
