Fyi Russia destroyed it and when Ukraine tried to repair it, russia killed the workers during the repair. So maybe hungary should talk to someone else about the issue
Let Hungarian engineers in to fix it?
Yeah just let putin’s lapdogs snoop around your strategic infrastructure while you’re at war, no biggie
Even if (big if) they want to fix it, are they paying? lol
If russia strikes the same spot again and hungarian crews die, would you want to be known as the one who sent them there? And would it really be worth it? A country at peace losing supposedly highly skilled civvies for a bunch of gas that financed their (and ukrainian) deaths doesn’t sound great on a resume.
edit: repairing it would also be a political win for Orban and he’s gonna repay by blocking help from EU as always, so it’s probably better to wait
Hungary (with Slovakia) also wanted to send their crews for inspection but uhh… you don’t really want someone from a country like that poking around your infrastructure while you’re at war so that proposal (understandably) got denied
