Orbán turned the country into shit, along with 27% VAT!!! I wonder why they have the highest rate behind Finland (but at least for Finland, 25.5% VAT is actually being used properly as it’s funding social services) but can the same be said for Hungary with the highest taxes in the EU? Where’s all that money going to? (Putting it in his pocket…)

I’ve heard that he transformed the economic system into a pyramid scheme (influenced by the Russian system) which affected the Forint’s value. Did he raise taxes on purpose towards citizens during his first presidency? The thing is, what are Hungarians getting in return for having to pay higher taxes? Is it anything or not a dime given?

    VAT was so high because everyone and their mother would be cheating their income taxes

    This is an insanely stupid “fix” for the problem, since VAT tends to be regressive - i.e. poorer people that spend all their income end up paying a significantly higher percentage than someone that earns enough to save money.
