Pay no attention to the history of political repression by the capitalists, literally sending cops to beat and murder organizers. Pay no attention to the assassinations of black leaders. Pay no attention to the publicly known disenfranchisement program started by Nixon known as the war on drugs that was explicitly targeting political blocs in the US, and of course pay no attention to the fact that after it became public knowledge not a single politician worked to reverse the impacts on democracy.

It’s not enough to say that we can vote for whoever we want after two political purges because they were before your time.
