I’m a trans woman living abroad. I’m in the middle of reviving my documents from my birth country because my US passport is about to expire but I can’t renew it. It has caused a ton of stress as you’d Imagine. I’m grateful I have a second country to fall back on, but a lot of people in the same position don’t, and it’s absolutely terrifying and a human rights violation.

All just to say, on behalf of the trans community, choke on a gangrenous dick Caitlyn

Bonus: Kudos to my Central American birth country for understanding and being massively helpful after 30 years away

My trans sister from abroad is in the process of getting her passport from her other citizenship and they only recognize her ghost identity. But it is better than the rights currently afforded under USA law so we’re getting her protected.

Thailand is my favorite place for trans culture (aside from bro exploitation behavior from tourist). I love that Thai people just do not care or judge, it’s just a normal thing.

I recommend it! Thai people are super direct about things and not very sensitive so it might be a little weird at first. For example, a Thai person will call their friend fat to their face if they’re overweight in friendly banter and it’s acceptable because that person is actually fat and they know it and laugh along with their friend. It’s why the term “lady boy” isn’t a perjorative there. For Thai people it’s just someone who is trans and hasn’t had any operations. They call themselves that loudly and proudly and if you don’t like it then fuck you is basically the give. I love it and they were some of the most fun people I’ve met.
