Try having technical conversation about Internal Combustion Engines without using that acronym. Spelling it out once is fine, but what if you’re comparing different engine types and you need to refer to that one frequently. Yeah, it gets awkward pretty quickly.

Phones that are locked can still be used to call 911 and whoever you put in your emergency contact.

Maybe your lock screen has an ICE function, otherwise just put it on your lock screen as plain text.
When I got my first phone in high school, your phone being locked was not a thing(over a decade ago). My parents made me put them a neighbor and a couple relatives in as ICE.
There’s an emergency call thing for calling 911 (or whatever it is in your region?) or ICE contacts I believe.
