minus-squareYellowParenti@lemmy.wtflinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up20·4 days agoI bought a replacement video card on 2019. It was replacing my 10 year old card. When I built my new PC, it was replacing a pc I begrudgingly installed win7 on. I have emulators from up to PS2. Pc gaming has crazy ROI.
minus-squareFlashMobOfOne@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up9·4 days agoSeriously is. You can have whole console collections of Roms and they only take up a speck of your external hard drive. Glorious.
minus-squarePresident Camacho@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·3 days agoWell, when you add the cost of the console to the cost of the online subscription… Not sure the pc is all that much more expensive. Also, just with Steam sales, the amount of money you save is pretty impressive. Lastly, when that pc dies, my next pc will still be able to play all the games from the previous pc. Not quite the case with consoles. All around, pc is a clear winner. Did I mention I installed Bazzite? It rocks. Microslop gets to eat a bag of dicks and to me, that’s worth all the money in the world.

minus-squareUlrich@feddit.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·3 days agoThey’re not more expensive when you factor in lower game costs and zero subscriptions.

Depends on what PC you get.
